If you'd like to see a show about "everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit," then Footlight Players' production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" is the show for you.
A series of light-hearted vignettes featuring stereotypical characters spoof our relationship rituals. A talented cast of six, Noel Carlson, Kathy Chase, Robert Komendera (who also directs the show), Mike McCalment, Mary Kaye Steele, Sherry Ver Wey and Christine Wiegand, assume all the roles.
Still playing off Broadway after nearly 10 years, the play is the longest-running musical revue in
New York history. It's easy to see why, with funny songs like "A Stud and a Babe," "Single
Man Drought" and "Why? 'Cause I'm A Guy." In "Always a Bridesmaid," Christine Wiegand
gets to wear the ugliest dress ever! Mike McCalment and Sherry Ver Wey get plenty of laughs in their
tribute to married sex, "Marriage Tango." You'll leave this show laughing.
